We have developed a newly improved hydrophone using an upgraded manufacturing process. The pickup head has been weighted to better control its position underwater. The standard version delivers a natural and neutral sound character. It captures authentic textures such as bubbles, flowing water, and insects tapping the surface, while maintaining excellent frequency consistency.

Building on the standard version, we have also introduced a professional version. In scenarios involving extremely subtle biological vibrations or tiny bubbles bursting underwater, the pickup exhibits higher sensitivity and resolution. Compared with the standard version, this model offers a wider dynamic range, stronger low-frequency energy, and higher high-frequency detail, significantly enhancing the ability to capture delicate underwater textures.

1. Standard Version

The standard model is a “natural-type” hydrophone that meets most underwater recording needs.

Its midrange is natural and realistic, well suited for recording bubbles, flowing water, and insects in shallow water. The high frequencies are smooth and non-harsh, making it comfortable for long listening. The background remains clean with low noise. The structure is stable and designed with outdoor durability in mind, minimizing self-excitation or internal resonance.

Suitable scenarios:

streams, small waterfalls, underwater ripples, aquariums, ponds, and small-scale ecological recordings.

It is lightweight and easy to carry, making it ideal for long-term field recording.

2. Pro Version

The Pro version is a hydrophone with what could be described as “overloaded sensitivity” in natural environments, capable of revealing an even subtler underwater world.

It features high resolution, powerful and penetrating low frequencies, and excellent high-frequency extension. It can capture extremely fine details such as tiny bubbles and insects tapping underwater surfaces. With a large dynamic range and high resolution, it is well suited for professional production work.

Suitable scenarios:

coastal environments, deep water, strong currents, and other powerful underwater soundscapes, as well as extremely subtle biological sounds. Ideal for film production, game sound design, foley, and scientific recording.

Requires equipment that provides 48V phantom power.
